Meet Paul Baahsome,
Paul Baahsome is probably one of the most imaginative creatures out there. Not only is he a sheep, he is the runt of the herd one could say. Many of his fellow sheep friends see his small stature as the center for small sheep jokes but don't let his size deceive you; Paul Baahsome is one of the most creative sheep that have ever roamed the grassy fields.
His family and friends typically find him day dreaming off by the stream and find themselves having to shake Paul back to reality. You see, Paul Baahsome doesn't just dream of greener pastures that are over the hill or across the stream but dreams about being able to become a cow. Yes, becoming a cow from a sheep sounds a bit ridiculous but to Paul it's the power he wishes he had most.
After many years of watching the cows in the neighboring pastures he desires to have what they have...freedom to roam. Free from sheep dogs. Being able to climb the rolling hills without the worry of being chased back to the flock, to stand a better chance against those pesky animals called foxes, but most of all, the biggest reason for wanting to be a cow is for the different colors and different designs of the coat. Being only one color is beyond boring. All sheep look the same. Occasionally Paul will come across a sheep that is black but for the most part all sheep are a dirty white color.
To be continued...

Thoughts.
Today is Wednesday.
Two more days until Friday.
Client was a no-show at work.
Annoyed when my client doesn't show... a phone call would be nice.
My feet are chilly.
My cat is snoring on the other couch.
Husband is working to find B-roll for their weekly news video.
Drama is super annoying and trying to stay out of it is kinda hard.
Sorta tired but it's too early to go to bed.
Life decisions are difficult to make at times.
Spent most of my work day making and painting a pterodactyl for another client.
It turned out pretty cute.
I wish it would rain.
I wish it would rain so there would be snow in the mountains.
If there was snow in the mountains we could go snow shoeing.
I really want to go snow shoeing.

Hello 2012
I can't believe it's January already...and the 12th to say the least. Last year flew right by. Had I realized it I would have tried to catch it to hold on to it a little longer. Last year held many wonderful memories: Nathan and I celebrated our First year of marriage, I began a job, working with children diagnosed and those in early intervention with Autism, that is challenging and rewarding, celebrated with friends as they got married, had babies, or got engaged. Spent holidays with family, cherishing each one as the time goes by so quick.
Christmas time was a blast. We went to Nathan's parents for the holiday and spent the time catching up with friends, slipping and sliding through the snow :), dinners with friends, had a tea date with a dear friend and my mom-in-law, game nights, went a saw the play/act called Girls Only, and went to the Transiberian Orchestra. + If you get the chance to go see the Transiberian Orchestra I would suggest you do it! It was so worth every penny and not what I expected at all+
Last weekend I decided that I really wanted to be crafty so I went out and picked up some green yarn from Michaels and decided that I would cover the "C" that I had purchased months ago, for a different project, and just see how it would turn out. I'd have to say that the finished product is quite nice. Then this weekend my parents are coming into town and we are going to have a small Christmas with them. I love that the Christmas season isn't fully over for us. :)
Also, sorry for the photos being randomly placed, I couldn't figure out how to keep/or get them where I wanted them...I hate it when the blog site thinks it knows where I should put things. :(

iwanttoblogbutdon'tknowwhattopost
Today is just one of those days. I really want to post something but I have no clue on what to say. So, just to warn you, this could be a pretty random post.
It is finally the weekend before Christmas. Personally I don't know if it's a good thing or not that Christmas is right around the corner because that means so is my birthday. I love Christmas. I love everything about it. Getting a tree and decorating it, decorating our home, putting up the lights outside and listening to Christmas music. But through it all I love that Christmas means we are celebrating the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As I was listening to the radio on my way to work this week the song "How Many Kings" by Downhere, came on and it's like this movie played in my head as the lyrics were sung. I could see myself walking the earth, looking at the other countries and religions that make up and are in our world and no other king appeared except for Jesus Christ. The lyrics hit me and are still ceasing to amaze me each time I hear the song or think of the lyrics. Now that it's Christmas and we are celebrating the birth of Jesus, the only King that left His throne to save a people in need.
How Many Kings
A week from today I will turn another year older. To be honest, I'm not ready nor do I want to. It's difficult to think I'm going to be 28 when I get people guessing between 19 and 23...I wish. I had a chat with my husband about this and how I feel like there is so much more I wish I had done by this time in my life. I know that I'm still young, my mom reminds all the time, but looking back to my early 20's...by now I pictured having my master's and a baby. Thankfully I have my BS but need to get my MS if I want to actually have a job as a Speech Therapist. I know that everything is in God's hands but sometimes I just wish I could see His timeline.
Hope you have a great week leading up to Christmas and that your Christmas weekend is filled with love and good cheer.

Thankfulness
This weekend was a wonderful one. Not only was it Thanksgiving on Thursday but I was able to spend it with my amazing husband, mom and step-dad, grandparents, and aunt. Almost a year ago, this 12/19 will be a year since my grandma had a stroke. Today she is able to walk with the slight assistance from a walking cane, stand up and sit down, her humor and spunk is shining through. Today my grandparents left to go home and I got tears in my eyes. I am so thankful for my grandparents. For all they have taught me over the years and even this past year. I am thankful for this weekend I've had with my family.
